Good Morning Parents,
Parent Teacher Conferences for the 2022-2023 school year are scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, October 26th, and during the day on Thursday, October 27th. Parent Teacher conferences at the middle school level are optional, but they provide an excellent opportunity for parents and teachers to share information to work toward a common goal.
Conferences this year are set up as follows:
Sixth and Seventh Grade Parent(s) will meet with ONE, paired team of teachers, either ELA & Social Studies or Math & Science, 8th Grade Parent(s) will choose ONE of their student's Team teachers.
The teacher you select to meet with will provide brief reports based on information from all of the core class teachers.
If you sign up for more than one teacher for one child we will have to delete all but the first conference scheduled. If you have multiple children in one grade, please call to schedule additional conferences.
If your student has a class with another grade-level teacher and that is who you would like to meet with, you will need to go to the WMS website and select the appropriate grade-level link in the Parent/Teacher Conference news article, then scroll down to find that teacher.
All non-core class teachers (Special Education, Elective Classes, GATE, P.E., Reading, and Computer Literacy) are available during conference hours. If you would like to meet with one of them, please contact them directly either through the Parent Portal or by email.
NOTE: If you are not sure of the name of the teacher/team with whom you would like to meet you will need to log in to the Parent Portal to find out or ask your student.
These conferences are designed to deliver general information regarding your student’s progress. If you require a more in-depth meeting regarding your student’s progress, you may schedule a meeting with the teacher of your choice during their plan time. You will need to contact them directly through the Parent Portal or email.
