Congratulations to the West High Robotics teams, which took three 15-pound battle bots to the national BotsIQ Burghbash National Competition in Pittsburgh.There they faced 30 other battle ready bots and placed in the top half of all competitors. 

Supernova placed 13th and Blitz placed 9th. “Our newest bot, Dino, marched undefeated through the winners bracket only to be defeated in the finals by an excellent Fox Chapel High School bot who it had beaten earlier in the day,” sponsor Steven Fink says. Dino finished 2nd in the nation.

In addition to design and construction, the team strategizes and navigates the battles. Members also are responsible for submission of technical documentation as a part of qualifying for competition as well as public relations work in promoting the bot and building community partnerships.
