⚽🏆 WMS INTRAMURAL SOCCER CHAMPIONSHIPS! 🏆⚽
What an AWESOME night of soccer at West Middle School! 🎉
Last night, our 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade Intramural Soccer Champions took to the field for one final challenge… THE WMS STAFF! 💪⚽
All three games were incredibly competitive, with our students giving the staff a run for their money! There were some great plays, plenty of laughs, and lots of school spirit! In the end, though, our WMS STAFF pulled off the sweep, taking home the WIN in all three games! 🏆🏆🏆
👏 A HUGE congratulations to our staff champions: Mr. Phillips, Mr. Jones, Mr. Jehle, Ms. Fanning, Mr. Johnson, Officer Grelle, Mr. Stille, Mr. Orlando, and Mr. Hadfield!
Most importantly, congratulations to our 6th-, 7th-, and 8th-grade student champions! We are proud of your hard work, teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit throughout the season!

The entire West Middle School student body showed out in their Purple, Black and White when West High came over for a pep assembly to celebrate Homecoming week. The students are fired up for an exciting week. WMS sixth graders really "turned up" and earned the Spirit Stick!

This Wednesday, we were excited to welcome Angie Michalka to West Middle as she joined our Lighthouse Team members and helped lead students through their weekly Leader in Me activities!
Every Wednesday, our students have the opportunity to participate in a Leader in Me lesson designed to bring students together, build upon one of the 7 Habits, and give them a chance to reflect, share, and connect the habit to their own lives.
But Leader in Me is about so much more than a weekly lesson. Throughout the year, our students are given countless opportunities to step into leadership, make a difference in our school and community, and work together to support one another.
We are so proud of the leadership our students continue to show—and grateful for the staff members and Lighthouse Team who help create these opportunities for them. 💙
