Our students aren’t the only ones getting into the WHS Homecoming spirit—our staff are bringing the heat, too! 🔥
For Matching Monday, Mr. Jehle and Ms. Fanning from our Music Department absolutely rocked their Lloyd & Harry theme! 🎸🤘
And today, Tech Ed teacher Mr. Phillips took us straight to the golf course with his Adam Sandler theme, showing up as the one and only Happy Gilmore! ⛳️🏌️♂️
We love seeing our West Middle family embrace the fun, show some school spirit, and make Homecoming Week memorable for our students!

Happy National IT Professionals Day!
A huge thank you to the FZSD IT team for keeping our devices running, our network secure, and our school seamlessly connected. We appreciate all you do behind the scenes to support our students and staff every single day!
• 6th Grade: Ava Nistler
• 7th Grade: Orion Williams
• 8th Grade: Jashith Rajbhut
So proud of you all—keep up the amazing work!
Our 7th grade art students are learning about the history and unique style of artist Roy Lichtenstein while creating their own artwork inspired by his iconic pop-art style. What a fun way to bring art history to life!

The Back to School Party is right around the corner! Get hyped for karaoke, games, dancing, and awesome snacks with friends—stay tuned for details!
Every Wednesday, our students have the opportunity to participate in a Leader in Me lesson designed to bring students together, build upon one of the 7 Habits, and give them a chance to reflect, share, and connect the habit to their own lives.
But Leader in Me is about so much more than a weekly lesson. Throughout the year, our students are given countless opportunities to step into leadership, make a difference in our school and community, and work together to support one another.
We are so proud of the leadership our students continue to show—and grateful for the staff members and Lighthouse Team who help create these opportunities for them. 💙
Leadership isn't just something we talk about at West Middle. It's something we put into action! 🌟

“You would never know Jaheim is a first-year teacher! He is always ready and willing to jump in and help with building-wide initiatives,” Minghi wrote when she nominated Davis. “He is positive, energetic, smart, kind, firm and eager. Jaheim has an unconventional, yet effective way of teaching that captures students’ attention and he is very well-loved by his students.”
And, in his nomination of Minghi, Davis wrote that she “truly made my entire first year of teaching feel like a breeze through her unwavering support and generosity. Her proactive, selfless mentorship not only helped me grow professionally but also strengthened our school’s collaborative culture, embodying exactly what a Mighty Mentor should be.”
